This page explains what newcut.ai does with your footage and your information. When you upload footage, you also accept an agreement for that project, which sets out how we use, share and keep it. We never sell your footage.
Who we are
newcut.ai is run by Nishant Mehta (LinkedIn). For anything in this policy, write to hello@newcut.ai.
This website
The website has no analytics, no tracking and no advertising.
To upload footage, you sign in with your Google account. We receive your name and email address from Google and use them only to run your account and contact you about your footage. Signing in uses a cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used for anything else.
If you email us, we keep your email so we can reply and for our records.
Your footage
We use your footage only as your project's agreement allows.
We never sell your footage, and we share it only with the services listed below and as your project's agreement allows.
Services we use
- Google (sign-in). You sign in to upload footage with your Google account.
- Cloudflare (R2 storage). Footage you upload on this website is stored in Cloudflare R2.
- Anthropic (Claude API). Some text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Never video or audio. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, it does not train its models on this text, and by default it deletes it within 30 days.
How long we keep it
How long we keep your footage and what we make from it is set by your project's agreement. Please download anything you want to keep. If you want something deleted sooner, email us and we will.
Keeping it safe
Only newcut.ai can access your footage. It is used on computers we control and moved only through the services listed above.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your permission for us to use it. Email hello@newcut.ai. Our grievance contact is Nishant Mehta, at the same address, and we reply within 7 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
